Single Phase Transformer

Single Phase transformers are made up of three main components, namely a magnetic core, a primary winding and a secondary winding. The primary and the secondary winding are made up of copper wires wound on a core. The primary winding is attached to AC source while the secondary attached to the load.

Single phase transformers are engineered to accept single phase AC current and produce single phase AC power. The power produced by the transformer is usually at lower or higher voltage.
