Certification to Medical Isolation Transformers Standards by Winshine
Winshine is able to certify toroidal transformers to medical 60601 standards for materials and construction, even at the prototype stage, and that accelerate your entire produce approval process. As required, we can supply blanket certificates of construction to the safety agencies, thus alleviating their requirement to dissect, document and approve the medical grade ring transformer. Agencies can focus on product testing and don’t need to verify transformer construction.

General Specifications of Medical Grade Toroidal Transformers
- Input: Dual 0-100-120 VAC windings, series or parallel connected for 100, 120, 200, 220 or 240VAC at 50 / 60 Hz.
- Insulation: Class F insulation systems allow a maximum single fault temperature of 170°C, 190°C for abnormal overload tests. Primary to secondary includes both basic and double reinforced insulation
- Output Tolerance: Better than 3% at full load.
- Thermal Protection: Type 1 and 2 medical toroidal transformers include internal thermal switches, which will be closed and auto resetting. Type 3 medical transformers don’t include internal thermal protection devices. These transformers are used in medical applications where protective devices are external to the transformer.
- Magnetic Shielding: A shield are included to attenuate stray magnetic fields.
